I'm sure this book will thrill readers who enjoy romance mystery thrillers and can recommend Dangerous Ground to them. An interesting grouping of which I had previously known nothing. As the author states in her introduction, although this particular island is fictitious it is based on others in the area. The description of the island on which the action took place was good and really made the book readable despite the tedious, emotionally introspective, and repetitive romancing. Between them, their input was good without either adding to or subtracting from the book. A third narration came almost at the conclusion telling of a meeting of villagers, outside of the direct plot action, a childlike voice - Michele Yatchmeneff - which was quite adequate for the brief incursion. Both were good despite Chandler's apparent inability to pronounce the word ornithologist. Narration alternated between two of the performers, one female and one male, presumably Eva Kaminsky and A.J.Chandler, each reading sections most appropriate to the dominant protagonist at that point. I will not be continuing on to the next in series, however.

And further, with the main protagonists, characters with whom I could find absolutely no empathy: in fact, just the opposite. The main mystery to me is why I finished this book? I can stand a little romance with my stories but this, sadly, is the opposite - a little story with the romance.
